At the core of the church for discipleship, Bible discussion, support, prayer and ministry growth.

There is a range of groups including those for youth, families, young adults, seniors, men, women. Something for everyone.

Why Life Groups?

We are developing a healthy growing network of groups that will -

1. Draw us into mutual ministry.

2. Strengthen the congregation at Riccarton Baptist.

3. Deepen our understanding of the Word of God.

4. Enable us to develop potential leadership.

5. Challenge us to act on our faith and thus grow spiritually.

6. Express Christian Values in our Society.

7. Help identify for members their calling and ministry.

So How can we achieve this?

By Planting our ROOTS deep with God

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
       which yields its fruit in season
       and whose leaf does not wither.
       Whatever he does prospers.Psa 1:3

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Jeremiah 17:7-8

R- Read- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Tim 3:16-17

O- Online- And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints-Eph 6:18

O-Others- But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect-1Pet 3:15

T-Together- And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching-Heb 10:24-25

S-Serve and Give- But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us see that you also excel in this grace of giving-2 Cor 8:7
